A couple of years ago I had mussels for the first time. Oh my gawd those were good. I can’t believe I went so many years without trying them!

WRONG! Catfish is best fish and doesn’t live in the sea.

What kind of mussels?
The milky buttery sauce that comes with Moules-Frites is one of my favorite things in this world.

They have four different preparations, and I believe we had the first one. Given that we were in a brewery, perhaps the second would have been appropriate (to be tried on another day):
Traditional — 16.25
white wine, garlic butter
Beer-Steamed — 16.25
Kölsch, bacon, garlic, herbs
Spicy Red Curry
—
16.25
red curry, herb butter
Blue Cheese & Bacon
-
16.25
mild Blue Cheese, smokey bacon, green onions
We usually get a table at the far end, overlooking the beer production area.
They have another location a few miles away, but I notice that there are frequently cops hanging out around the corner, looking to catch those that have over-imbibed.

That sounds wonderful. This restaurant has four different ways of preparing them (see my reply to Cit). I’ll have to explore the world trying different ways of preparing these little delights.
When I was back in SoCal last month I stopped at my old favorite seafood joint right after getting off the ‘plane. I’ll have to try the mussels over there the next time I’m back home.

But plants live in the dirt. Why do you pick on kitty fish?
